Let's start with the Mountain bike guys. Our Rasmussen Dirt squad came out in full force and showed no mercy at the Lake Ahquabi XC race on Sunday. Cam Kirkpatrick won the expert class, which did 5 circuits of the 7 mile loop. Cam won by almost eight minutes with Jed Gammell coming in 3rd, and Rasmussen's Kent Carlson coming in 5th. John Newell won the men's 45+ classification, and Rick Blackford won the Cat 2 Men's sport open. It was a tough course with plenty of climbing, so a great showing by the Rassy boys. This weekend was also the Iowa games road race. It was a great race for all the guys, but most notably Rich Wince, who continues to have a dream summer. He won for the 2 lap division and Kris Kunze brought home 5th place. It has been amazing summer for our tri, road, and mtb teams, we have to have the strongest squad of athletes in Iowa.
