The greatest race of the weekend was at the Big Creek Triathlon, which was a regional qualifier for age-group nationals. Mike Morrison through down probably his best race and averaged 26.8mph on the 40k bike leg. He came off the bike and had the lead and it took a crazy fast run split from Nathan White to beat him, with Mike taking second in 1:53:51. Doug Vander Weide also had a great race taking 11th place and finishing in just over 2 hours. For the Women Chris Maravelas finished in 8th place in 2:27:10 and Amy Hanrahan was 13th place in 2:28:40. Click here for full Big Creek Tri results.

Reed Rinderknecht and his wife, Kristen, each took first place overall in the Twin Lakes Sprint Triathlon.

Also, this weekend was the State Road Race Championships and our team had a great showing. Lou Waugaman took 9th place in the Cat 1/2 race. Rich Wince took 5th place for the Cat 3's in the 108 mile race in West Branch, IA. Tony Muse is the Cat 4 State Champion, so congrats to him and to all for a great showing in all disciplines over the weekend.
